1st Motif - Tatted Heart

I finally decided which motif to begin with - a heart. I love hearts so it is fitting that I begin with one.

I used the beautiful Spring Green Lizbeth Size 20 thread. The pattern which is called Tatted Heart is from Handy Hands Tatting and it was shuttled tatted. I did the center three rings one evening and finished it the next. It works up very quickly and the pattern is very easy to follow.

Hmmm, what should I do next?

Thank you. It's an even prettier color in person. The Lizbeth thread has some beautiful colors and they're fun to work with. Thanks for stopping by and saying HI.

Oh, I forgot about the 4 free tatting patterns at handy hands! Nice job! Oh, look your spring green heart and marching boarder even matches your background! How cute! :)
Have fun with the challenge! I need to hurry and finish mine...it's from March to march! I have a few to go still...I need to get tatting.

The Spring Green is a nice color for the heart. I will have to pull out my Handy Hands newletters and go through them. I don't remember seeing this heart.

I never liked big picots, but I have to admit, they make the heart look so delicate. I think I'll change my ways....never to old....!
